Jute is an erect, grabrous, annual plant or shrub that can grow up to 2 meters high. Its botanical name is Saluyot (Tagalog); Tugabang (Bisaya). The broad-ovate, lanceolate leaves with toothed margins. Yellow petals are on the axils of the single flowers.
